MAMA SEZ

MAMA SEZ - the melodic power rock juggernaut on a collision course with greatness — continues to blaze a trail marked with national accolades and prestigious regional acclaim. In 1992, the band blasted into mid-America's rock n' roll consciousness with a victory in the highly competative Indiana Music Awards. Emerging from a vast field of the region's premier talent, Mama Sez staked it's claim as Indianaplois champion. The honor reaffirmed the band's standing in the upper echelon of rock n' roll forces to be reckoned with.

Mama Sez stepped into the national spotlight as keyboardist, resident studio wizard and songwriter Dave Elbert was recognized for all the hard work and energy he poured into the creation of the anthem "Runaway Angel," released on Vertebrae Records. The proceeds of the song, co-written with HiJinx publisher Doug Diamond, benefitted the National Runaway Switchboard and featured performances by many of the region's highest profile musicans. This year, the fine tradition that Elbert pioneered was continued in grand fashion with the release of the X Factor CD on Hipswervy Records.

Sales of the disc once again benefitted the National Runaway Switchboard and featured numerous regional favorites such as Birdmen of Alcatraz, Buzzy Jones and Redeye, who's featured track, "Symphonies Of Stone," was produced by Elbert. Armed and ready to roar in '94, fortified with a monster home studio and the technical ability to make it rage like a wild river, MAMA SEZ spent the better part of '93 compiling an arsenal of incredible, darker and heavier material.

The line-up is a live machine that can hang with any unit in America. Out front, you've got axeman Dean Cline, arms like tree trunks and a raspy vocal approach bold enough to take Rod Stewart's fabled Maggie Mae down by her heartstrings. On drums, the band boasts the talents of Ed Collins, the saavy skin pounder who's been out east compiling a lengthy list of studio credits, including an album's worth of work with the legendary producer Max Norman (Megadeth, Ozzy Osbourne). Combine Collins with road warrior/crowd pleaser Michael Wecht on bass and you've got a rhythmic firevall on line to light up any serious rock n' roll night.

BOASTING MORE THAN TWO SETS OF ORIGINAL MUSIC, Mama Sez packs the kind of punch that satisfies blue-collar rockers' heavy thrist for the hard stuff, with a melodic twist that appeals to even the white-collar lovers of hit rock. In all, there's no less than 50 original show-stopping tunes in the band's repetoire.

Record crowds and high-energy blowouts are clearly the by-product of a band driven for success. Just ask the national glossy, Details magazine, which voted a MAMA SEZ concert one of the Best 300 Nights Out In America.

A highly-polished live machine that breeds killer word of mouth at every turn, MAMA SEZ is forever increasing it's fan base. It's a matter of fact. The band wields access to a mid-American fan base of more than 5,000 people. High-profile advertising, innovative promotions, an incredibly effective direct marketing attack, and a roster of incredible opening acts generate real excitement and real revenue. Whether you want to sell a million albums or a million drinks, you've got the total package - MAMA SEZ
